Schoology:
Schoology is the learning platform the district will be using for this school year. It will be used during the face-to-face instruction and distance learning. This will ease the transition in case of school closures. Students will be able to complete assignments, tests, and view videos from the class. In the case of school closures, this platform will be used for all students. Schoology will allow more rigorous instruction than students experienced during the last nine weeks of school. While face-to-face instruction is best, we have the utmost confidence in our new learning platform and the ability to provide the best possible education for our students.

Each student enrolled in Biology I must take and earn a passing score on the Biology State Test at the end of the semester. The Biology I State Test is a test that compiles all the information learned during the semester. Students will need to STUDY throughout the semester to be prepared for the test. We will be using informal and formal assessments, along with interactive notebooks for enrichment in order to prepare for this test.
Students may not have a tangible Homework Sheet every single night, but know that they always have lecture notes to be reviewing, vocabulary terms to be learning, and interactive notebooks to be finishing daily entries.
Please see the Biology I syllabus for additional details regarding this course.
